Kaysville City has been and continues to be committed to involving the public in this important project. The 200 N. overpass will eventually become a gateway to the City, so it is important to have citizen involvement as it is planned, designed and constructed.

Kaysville City has accomplished this involvement in several ways:

  • During the environmental process, the project team undertook intensive one-on-one citizen outreach to inform and gather feedback from those immediately impacted by the project. Further, a public open house was held in the Fall of 2005 to inform residents and answer questions citizens had about the project.
  • During the design phase of the project the City established a Design Advisory Team of citizens to provide input as the design of the overpass moved forward. The project team also continued to work with and inform those immediately impacted by the coming project.
  • With the project under construction, Kaysville City has continued public outreach and information efforts to keep citizens up to date and to hear issues and concerns as the project is built.
  • Throughout all phases of the project, the project team has been available to answer questions and resolve issues through a project-dedicated public involvement manager.
